چکیده

The current study was designed to investigate the best sowing method that encourages dry matter accumulation increase dryland wheat yield, grain quality, and protein content. Three different seeding methods were applied: (I) wide-space (WSS), (II) furrow sowing, (III) drill sowing. Two nitrogen levels, namely low (N1) high (N2), also applied, pure 150 kg ha−1 210 ha−1, respectively. Wide-space significantly increased ears yield production, maximum, average grain-filling rate while delayed disappearance of population after anthesis, duration filling, then number spikes 1000-grain weight increased, Drill compared content in harvest index, it protein, In addition, wide-precision higher than trench Our findings suggest beneficial for increasing water consumption during growth period, tiller dynamics, improving plant protein.

Effect of nitrogen levels and nitrogen ratios on lodging resistance and yield potential of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Lodging is one of the constraints that limit wheat yields and quality due to the unexpected bending or breaking stems on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) production worldwide. In addition to choosing lodging resistance varieties, husbandry practices also have a significant effect on lodging. Nitrogen management is one of the most common and efficient methods. A field experiment with Yangmai 20 as r...

Response of Spring Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Quality Traits and Yield to Sowing Date

The unpredictability and large fluctuation of the climatic conditions in rainfed regions do affect spring wheat yield and grain quality. These variations offer the opportunity for the production of better quality wheat. The effect of variable years, locations and sowing managements on wheat grain yield and quality was studied through field experiments using three genotypes, three locations for ...

Readily available phosphorous and nitrogen counteract for arsenic uptake and distribution in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Elevated arsenic content in food crops pose a serious human health risk. Apart from rice wheat being another main food crop is possibly cultivated on contaminated sites. But for wheat uptake mechanisms are not entirely understood especially with regard to nutrient fertilization and different moisture regimes taking into account heavy rainfall events due to climate change. Here we show that espe...

Effect of Mycorrhizal Colonization on Nitrogen and Phosphorous Metabolism in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under Water Deficit Stress

Mycorrhiza is a symbiotic association between a group of soil fungi called arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and plants. The successful association between plants and AMF constitutes a strategy to improve the nutritional status of both associates, which reduces the use of fertilizers specially phosphorus nutrition (Almagrabi and Abdelmoneim, 2012). The AMF take carbohydrates compounds from their pla...

Nutrient Uptake, Growth and Yield of Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.) as Affected by Manganese Application

The study was carried out for two consecutive years (2005-06 to 2006-07) to evaluate the wheat response to five different levels (0, 4, 8, 12 and 16 kg ha) of manganese (Mn) alongwith 150-100-60 kg NPK ha application. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three repeats under irrigated conditions at Agriculture Research Farm Karor, District Layyah. NPK was a...
